From Denmark to international cities

Railway in Denmark is well developed. You can thus travel easily in Denmark and from Denmark to international cities. 

The National rail operator is Danske Statsbaner (DSB).

Hamburg - Copenhagen 

This route is marvelous as the entire train is shunted onto a ferry to cross the sea from the island of Fehmarn in Germany to Lolland in Danemark.

Copenhagen - Stockholm  

There is one direct train from København H to Stockholm  Centralstation , the travel last around 5 hours. 

Stop over in Gothenburg 

Gothenburg is a Swedish city known for its international cuisine, vivid culture and night-life. 

  • Many festivals are organized like the Gothenburg International Film Festival or the West music festival
  • You can eat great seafood.
  • If you love art, you must visit the Gothenburg Museum of Art.

Traveling to Denmark

If you're from western or central Europe you will inevitably have to pass through Hamburg to visit Denmark. The trains are frequent, they pass around 8 times a day from Germany to Denmark. They are also regular trains from Copenhagen and Stockholm. 

Denmark, considered one of the happiest countries in the world, is a great destination to discover a new culture. It has the oldest monarchy of Europe and its heritage is visible through its historical sites. Furthermore, it has islands and beaches. 

Seat reservation is required for SJ High-speed train and is recommended for InterCity(IC) and InterCityLyn (ICL), Eurocity (EC) and InterCityExpress (ICE).
